Mazda CX-9 (2007)- a five-meter crossover, which appeared in the model range of the brand in 2007. At first, the company expected to sell the car only in the USA and Australia, but then they also began deliveries to Russia and Ukraine. Especially for us, the Japanese redesigned the lighting equipment, and also slightly revised the list of equipment.

Despite its dimensions, the Mazda CX-9 is exactly the same as the younger and already discontinued Mazda CX-7, professes Zoom-Zoom branded driving values. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the seven-seater crossover is considered one of the most driving cars in its class.

Initially, a Ford Duratec V6 with a volume of 3.5 liters (263 hp, 339 Nm) was installed under the hood of the “nine”, but then the Japanese built their “aspirated” MZI V6 3.7 (277 hp, 367 Nm) on its basis with a system of sequential adjustment of the valve timing. It is this unit that is now used on the crossover. Paired with the engine is a six-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, this bunch of power units accelerates a two-ton crossover in 10.1 seconds. "Maximum speed" - 171 km / h.

The platform of the car is also partially borrowed from Ford. If the front suspension is structurally similar to the Mazda6 and CX-7, then the rear one largely repeats the elements of the chassis of the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX. Nevertheless, according to the company, this whole "cocktail" was set up so that the model not only provided maximum comfort, but also gave the joy of driving.

The all-wheel drive system is implemented using a multi-plate clutch inherited from the "charged" Mazda6 MPS. By default, the “nine” is front-wheel drive, but if necessary, up to 50% of traction can be transferred to the rear wheels. The crossover has no locks and their imitations.

Ground clearance Mazda CX-9 is 204 mm. The model was made in Japan. In 2013, a restyled modification that replaced CX-9.
