Mazda CX-30 - a compact crossover that occupies a step between SUVs in the Mazda range CX-3 And CX-5. Introduced in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The new CX-30 became Mazda's second model after the fourth-generation troika on the Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture platform and, like the hatchback, received a design in a "more mature" interpretation of Kodo's corporate identity. According to the creators of the car, the new approach combines the three key tenets of the improved design philosophy "KODO - Soul of Motion": Yohaku - the beauty of empty space, Sori - forms with balance and balance, and Utsuroi - the play of light and shadow.

Externally, the CX-30 looks like a raised version of the Mazda3, with which it shares not only a platform, but also an almost identical interior design, as well as a suspension design with McPherson struts in front and a torsion beam in the rear. By the way, the declared clearance of the five-door is 175 mm. At the same time, in terms of wheelbase (2655 mm) and length (4395 mm), the Mazda CX-30 is noticeably superior to the Mazda CX-3 crossover (2570 and 4275 mm, respectively). However, the trunk of the novelty is still modest - 430 liters. 

The range of Mazda CX-30 power units includes 2.0 and 2.5 liter petrol units, as well as a 1.8 liter diesel engine. The choice is presented 6-speed "mechanics" and "automatic" of the same range, and the drive can be front or full. However, only one engine was provided for Ukraine at the start of sales - a gasoline 2.0-liter “aspirated” with a capacity of 150 hp. and a maximum torque of 213 Nm in combination with an automatic transmission. 

This engine has direct injection and a geometric compression ratio of 13:1. Passport fuel consumption in the combined cycle for the front-wheel drive version is 5.5 l / 100 km. The all-wheel drive modification has a little more “appetite” - 6.0 liters per “hundred”.

Already in the basic configuration, the Mazda CX-30 has LED headlight optics, side mirrors with automatic folding, a rear-view mirror with auto-dimming, climate control, engine start from a button, heated front seats, cruise control, MZD Connect multimedia system with 8.8-inch display (+ Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), a proprietary motion control system G-Vectoring Control Plus  and much more. The top equipment is additionally equipped with all-round visibility, a road marking control system, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and 12 speakers instead of 8 for simpler configurations.
