Mazda CX-5 2016 is a front- or rear-wheel drive crossover, which premiered in Ukraine in March 2015. The Mazda CX-5 2016 model year continues the KODO design characteristic of all new brand cars. The novelty can be distinguished from the current version, primarily by a modified grille, an updated front bumper and new headlights. In addition, the manufacturer offered new 19-inch alloy wheels and a palette expanded due to Sonic Silver Metallic and Titanium Flash Mica colors (9 colors are available in total). The interior of the novelty received a new dashboard, multimedia system and a modified center console. Owners of current versions of the CX-5 should also immediately notice the missing handbrake, which has been replaced with an electronic parking brake button. Of the electronic options for the presented crossover, cruise control with the function of tracking a safe distance, tracking systems for “blind” zones and preventing frontal collision at low speed, as well as LED taillights are available. The engine range of the car for European markets includes units of the SKYACTIV family: two 2.0-liter gasoline engines with a capacity of 160 and 165 hp. (208 Nm and 210 Nm), one 2.5-liter engine developing 192 hp. (256 Nm), as well as two diesel power plants with a volume of 2.2 liters for 150 and 175 hp. (380 and 420 Nm). The all-wheel drive system of the Mazda CX-5 is implemented using a multi-plate clutch on the rear axle. Depending on the situation, the rear wheels can receive up to 50% of the traction. The model is produced in Japan. Front-wheel drive versions of the Mazda CX-5 have a ground clearance of 215 mm, while all-wheel drive versions have a ground clearance of 210 mm.
